What's new?

Hey there friends and friendesses - Today is Tuesday the 28th of May 2008 and I've decided to pop in quickly to give you a quick rundown of whats going down in my world of late...

Ive just finished the early stages of a toilet block mural with a group of young aerosol cats that ive been working with over the last school term. Love the work, but working with kids can be a stress yo:)

You might notice that there is a life-size jesus to the left, he is one of my latest most notable projects. I will be painting/decorating him with the theme of 'faith in a contemporary context' for the upcoming World Youth Day being held in Sydney this coming August. I was gratefully chosen as one of 33 artists commissioned by the Catholic church to paint the fiberglass statues, which will be placed around Sydney during the Festivities. The deadline for the figure is June 2 and its yet to rock up to my door so my creative boots are gonna have to well and truly on to get him done in time!

You can find out more, including see the finished figure and all the featured artists profiled go to www.jesuswalksart.com

TIl next time...
